Mayor Eric Garcetti introduced Los Angeles' Sustainable City pLAn in 2015, committing to changes that will ensure a healthy community for future generations. With immediate and evolving challenges facing our environment and economy, a renewed commitment to action is needed now more than ever. LA’s 2019 Green New Deal is an expanded vision of the plan, working harder to secure clean air, clean water and an increasingly stable climate, while also expanding access to healthy food and open space.

At the heart of LA's initiatives to support the clean technology sector is the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), which accelerates development of cleantech start-ups by offering flexible office space, CEO coaching and mentoring, and access to a growing network of experts and capital. LACI recently merged with CleanTech LA - bringing together business, government and academia to expand and develop the clean technology sector in Los Angeles by promoting sustainability and economic growth.
